Walnut Acres offers high quality, skilled nursing care in a nurturing environment for residents in Northwest, Illinois. We have a long-standing commitment of excellence and ongoing initiatives to expand and improve our facility and services that have earned us an outstanding reputation in the community. Today, we have grown to become one of the most comprehensive, full service facilities in Stephenson County. We offer long and short term rehabilitation, respite services and hospice services.
We take pride in caring for treating each resident as a unique individual who deserves to be treated with dignity and the utmost respect. We are dedicated to helping our staff to flourish, thus enabling them to do the same for our residents and their families.
The center has 148 beds. Semi-private rooms are available with a joined bath. We also have five private rooms and 3 special care rooms. Our certified memory care unit with 24 beds care for residents with Dementia or Alzheimer’s related diseases. We have currently renovated to create 10 more private rooms!
Personal Laundry, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and other equipment are provided at no extra charge.

The Stephenson Nursing Center complies with Section 001 of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which provides that:

The Stephenson Nursing Center also complies with Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act on that we do not discriminate on the basis of handicap, in accordance with Paragraph 84.8 (A) of the regulations."
